Case study

Behavioral Innovations

Overview

The diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder greatly outpaces the availability of treatment options. In an effort to address this issue, RCP invested in Behavioral Innovations (“BI”), a provider of center-based applied behavior analysis therapy (“ABA”) to early intervention children with autism spectrum disorder and other related developmental disabilities. Initially $3.5 million, RCP’s investment in BI grew to $65.0 million across three funds in support of the company’s rapid de-novo growth strategy. During Resolute’s involvement, BI dramatically improved access to quality care across its markets and creating 2,300+ new jobs across its center footprint.

Outcome

BI grew from 13 centers at the time of RCP’s initial investment to 77 centers throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado by June 2024, when the Company was acquired by a New York-based private equity firm.
